We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Data Engineer to join our Analytics Team.

As a Lead Data Engineer you will be responsible for processing structured and unstructured data, validating data quality, and developing and supporting data products, and will collaborate with cross-functional teams, internal and external, to streamline workflows, automate actions, and aid in optimizing decision-making processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data products utilizing Azure

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications

• Implement analytics capabilities, including statistical analysis, machine learning, and predictive modeling

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless communication and collaboration

• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies in data engineering

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science/Analytics, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Natural Science, Economics, Engineering or similar quantitative field

• At least 5 years of analytics or statistical analysis experience

OR

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science/Analytics, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Natural Science, Economics, Engineering or similar quantitative field

• At least 3 years of analytics or statistical analysis experience

OR

• PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science/Analytics, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Natural Science, Economics, Engineering or similar quantitative field

Additional Requirements

• Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)

Desired Skills

• Strong knowledge of Python, SQL and PySpark

• Familiar with developing ETL pipelines in the cloud (Azure preferred)

• Experience with CI/CD

• Experience working with large and complex datasets

• Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams

• Ability to adapt to changing requirements and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

• Agile way of working knowledge is a plus
