Position Overview

Navistar is currently seeking a Finance Manager – LogisticsThis position will manage professionals and the coordination of the activities with responsibility for results, including costs, methods, and staffing. Decisions are guided by policies, procedures, and business plan.

Responsibilities

• Manages, prepares, develops, interprets, and implements financial concepts for financial planning and control

• Performs technical analysis to determine present and future financial performance.

• Gathers, analyzes, prepares, and summarizes recommendations for financial plans, acquisition activity, trended future requirements and operating forecasts.

• A key part of this role is partnering closely with procurement, operations, and finance leaders to ensure logistics savings are adequately planned, tracked, and ultimately realized in the company's financial results

• Collaborate and challenge cross-functional partners to achieve concrete results; be able to deliver with limited support from others; possess sound interpersonal skills; and be able to influence senior leadership as well as peer group and usual business contacts

• Develop a deep understanding of savings initiatives and spend budgets across the logistics and categories

• Own monthly financial close activities for Logistics - working closely with Accounting and Divisional FP&A teams to create variance reports and commentaries

• Manages the activities of the financial analyst staff

• Defines team operating standards and priorities; ensures necessary procedures are followed based on knowledge of own functional responsibility

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree

• At least 2 years of finance and general accounting experience

OR

• Master’s degree

• At least 1 year of finance and general accounting experience

OR

• At least 5 years of finance and general accounting experience

Additional Requirements

• Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. • Strong Financial Analysis/Modeling skills

• Strong analytical skills: ability to compile data and effectively problem solve high-level, strategic initiatives

• Strong understanding of business principles

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of tailoring message to audience

• Database/data manipulation and analysis

• Advanced MS Excel skills strongly desired

• Self-starter with ability to operate independently, identify and implement process improvements, and adjust priorities to achieve objectives and operate with speed and agility

• Ability to work in a matrix organization, build strong partnerships, influence work partners – both business and finance
