Position Overview

Navistar is looking for a motivated Product Owner - Source to Pay.

As a product owner, you will work closely with a cross-functional, agile team of designers, engineers, process experts, and business stakeholders to create value for our users every step of the way. You will sit in the driver’s seat in defining the product’s strategic vision and ensuring its future health.

Specifically, as the product owner for Source to Pay, you will be focused on leading and executing the transformation initiatives within the procurement function. You will play a pivotal role in modernizing and optimizing our end-to-end procurement processes, leveraging cutting-edge technologies to drive efficiency, compliance, and cost savings across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Understand user and business needs and clearly articulate "the problem to be solved" and team mission

• Estimate business impact by applying valid assumptions to create the product’s business case (with support from Finance) and lead quarterly planning to ensure team maintains continuous flow of value delivery

• Lead and drive progress to product value creation from incubation to delivery to production

• Create the product roadmap, define epics for new development by breaking them down into detailed features and user stories, and manage and prioritize the product backlog

• Ensure efficiency and quality of team deliverables by contributing to user research, prototype development, and technical solution definition

• Manage and drive the implementation of new ways of working and thinking, including agile ceremonies, as well as change management initiatives, working collaboratively with key stakeholders to drive engagement in the organization

• Explore new, innovative ideas that advance the state of development in the product area and surrounding ones, thereby delivering substantial value to real users

• Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness and impact of ERP transformation initiatives on procurement performance. Monitor and analyze KPIs to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree

• At least 9 years of technical project/program management and/or product owner experience

• At least 2 years of lead experience

OR

• Master's degree

• At least 5 years of technical project/program management and/or product owner experience

• At least 2 years of lead experience

OR

• At least 12 years of technical project/program management and/or product owner experience

• At least 2 years of lead experience

Additional Requirements

• Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)

Desired Skills

• Deep knowledge of domains relevant to the product mission

• Solid knowledge of industry trends, user demands and pain points in order to create a high value vision

• Dedication to continuous exploration of customer needs using a variety of methods (e.g. site visits, end user interviews)

• Understanding of how strategic and roadmap decisions influence the direction of business value delivery

• Experience in agile methodologies, preferably as Product Owner

• Basic understanding of development processes and effective communication with IT

• Strong communication skills, especially to communicate complex messages and negotiations

• Able to influence a diverse group of stakeholders; strong leadership skills

• Strong problem solver, able to lead team to drive solution and progress

• Excellent analytical skills

• Passionate and energetic individual who inspires teammates to reach their full potential

• Enthusiastic about trying new solutions

• Embraces a culture of trust and full transparency

• Promotes free thinking; is energized by the ideas of others in the team
