Navistar, Inc. Project Engineer Sr. in Lisle, Illinois

Minimum Requirements

Navistar, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer Sr. in Lisle, IL with the following requirements: Master’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology and 6 years of experience in product design/development, including 1 year leading others in engineer/design activities OR Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology and 8 years of experience in product design/development, including 1 year leading others in engineer/design activities OR PhD in Engineering or Engineering Technology and 3 years of experience in product design/development, including 1 year leading others in engineer/design activities. Required Skills: Perform nonlinear, dynamic simulations in LS Dyna Solver to predict how an assembly/ part behaves in dynamic impact loading (crash loading) (3 yrs); Preprocess using Hyper mesh and LS-Prepost to build the FEA models: meshing the CAD model, assigning right materials and properties to all parts in the FEA model (2 yrs); Postprocess simulation results in HyperView/ Hypergraph and LS-Prepost to evaluate deformations, stresses, and plastic strains to make recommendations to Design and Test teams (2 yrs); Perform Test Correlation with the Simulations using test data and post processing tools to understand how close the simulation prediction is to the physical test, and to understand if FE model modifications are needed to predict the physical test results (3 yrs); Develop material models for simulation using tested material data and preprocessing tools like HyperMesh (3 yrs); Analyze in Ansys Workbench/ APDL solver to perform component level static simulations and Design of Experiments (3 yrs).
