Navistar, Inc. Project Manager Lead in Lisle, Illinois

Position Overview

Navistar International Corporation, a leading North American truck manufacturer with great products, a strong market position and best-in-class distribution network, has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager Lead to join our team at the headquarters in Lisle, IL.

Responsibilities

  • Performs non-technical project completion using an internal customer perspective, typically from initiation through delivery.

  • Coordinates cross-functional teams through meetings and progress measurement activity which bring distinct, specific projects to completion both on time and within budget.

  • Fully proficient in applying established standards, resolving a wide range of complex problems of diverse scope in innovative ways, including problems where precedent may not exist.

  • Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.

  • Uses best practices and knowledge.

  • May instruct, coach or provide informal guidance to other professionals or colleagues with less experience.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • At least 5 years of project/program management experience

OR

  • Master’s degree

  • At least 3 years of project/program management experience

OR

  • At least 7 years of project/program management experience

Additional Requirements

  • Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)

Desired Skills

  • Project Management – Adaptability and Strategic thinking

  • Visual management

  • Process design/mapping experience

  • Must be able to get results through influence. Strong leadership and communication skills

  • Microsoft Office software suite experience (Excel, PowerPoint, Etc.)

  • Project Management software experience

  • Commercial dealership experience a plus

  • Commercial vehicle & engine technical experience a plus
