Navistar, Inc. Technical Sales Manager - Integrated Powertrain in Lisle, Illinois

Position Overview

Navistar has a great opportunity for a Technical Sales Manager - Integrated Powertrain.The position will support National Accounts and Dealer Sales in building strong relationships and driving preference for integrated powertrain sales.

Responsibilities

  • Support initiatives and events in the execution of Go to Market initiatives for new products

  • Integral part and heavy focus the first year in Early Product Development and Dealer Readiness/Sales Enablement

  • Create coalitions between departments and provide leadership in supporting an optimal teamwork environment

  • Review Specs and parameters identifying opportunities to improve the customer experience and TCO

  • Present Features, Advantages and Benefits of new products at seminars, corporate meetings, dealer meetings, national accounts, and customer events

  • Continuous learning of new products and ability to consult with customers on features benefits and advantages

  • Provide leadership by adding value to our customer relationship management strategy

  • Provide input to sales force to improve productivity and sales interactions (Lead qualification, Customer Contacted, Needs Analysis, Offer/Pitch, Close)

  • Utilize and leverage TCO experience to maximize new product performance

  • Develop strategies to improve uptime through On Command Remote Diagnostics, i360 and International Fleet Care

  • Leads, manages, and coordinates communication and interfaces with the customer at appropriate levels

  • Provide Voice of Customer feedback to product planning, sales / aftersales, dealer operations, marketing, warranty and used truck

  • 75% Domestic travel

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • At least 8 years of sales, product support or engineering experience

  • At least 1 year of lead experience

OR

  • Master’s degree

  • At least 6 years of sales, product support or engineering experience

  • At least 1 year of lead experience

OR

  • At least 10 years of sales, product support or engineering experience

  • At least 1 year of lead experience

Additional Requirements

  • Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)

Desired Skills

  • Extensive TCO consulting skills

  • Engineering degree a plus

  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management internally and externally

  • Ability to lead a cross-functional project to a successful execution

  • Excellent Excel skills. Possess ability to gather/consolidate/cleanse data, and provide reports that are easy to understand

  • Exceptional communication skills

  • Positive Attitude, Ethics and Values which support our company’s values, and a healthy, high-performance culture

  • Proficiency in MS Office including PowerPoint
